Earlier this year I shared the news that I would be writing a book about friendship, diversity, and the church. The book is called United: Captured by God’s Vision for Diversity and I am now in the final stages of the editorial process. To be honest, I’m not sure that editorial process is the proper terminology. One thing I have learned quickly is that writing a book isn’t just about writing! Here’s what I do know, it’s finished!
My prayer is that United would encourage and cast a vision for diverse friendships and diversity in the church. We know that our country has struggled and continues to battle the painful effects of segregation. What I’ve tried to do in United is focus on future grace and what can be as we embrace the beauty of diversity and what it means to be adopted into God’s family.
Moody Publishers did a fantastic job capturing the heart of the message of the book in this cover. The cover is beautiful, colorful, bright, and joyful. I have been blessed to work with their team.
If you’d like to keep up with more about this book and others, I have a book page where I’ll update information as it becomes available.
For two years I have managed and updated my site Women of God magazine. After praying for nearly six months and seeking the advice of good friends and family as well as those in ministry with me, I have decided to discontinue updating the site. Here’s the good news, I will instead begin to focus my attention here at my personal website.
The decision wasn’t easy as you can read here, but I am in faith that the Lord has good things ahead at trillianewbell.com. I won’t be announcing a blogging schedule, but I will be updating as much as possible.
Thank you for visiting and reading. I look forward to great things ahead!
